This water filtration system is intended for use in situations where a reliable supply of safe drinking water is unavailable. Ideal for emergency situations such as hurricanes, floods, earthquakes etc. travelers, campers, field expeditions, rural clinics as well every day home use.

Made of food grade, high density polypropylene, it is lightweight and virtually unbreakable. Telescopes for easy transport and no tools are required for assembly.

Holds up to 5 Doulton® Imperial SuperSterasyl™ filtration elements (candles) which can produce over 50 gallons per day (GPD) of safe delicious drinking water.

0.2 microns silver impregnated ceramic shell of SuperSterasyl™ candle (Sterasyl™) effectively remove pathogenic bacteria such as E.coli, cholera, salmonella, shigella, typhoid etc with greater than 99.99% efficiency, 100% removal of pathogenic cysts such as cryptosporidium parvum, giardia lamblia, guinea worm etc. Inside the ceramic shell is packed bed of coconut shell granular activated carbon ( GAC) for removal of chlorine, VOC's, industrial solvents, bad taste and odor etc. For microbiologically effectiveness the ceramic shell is self-sterilized (no need for boiling) and can be cleaned up to 60 times before is worn off. In addition the LP5 can be fitted with specialties filtration elements for reduction of inorganic contaminants such as fluoride/heavy metals, arsenic and nitrates. The specialties elements are screwed onto the nozzle of the ceramic elements on the under-side of the upper chamber. You'll need as many elements as the amount of candles you have in the upper chamber (one element for each candle).

LP5 is supplied complete with amount of candles ordered, wing nuts, gaskets, spigot, holding base, lid and assembly instructions (no tools needed). It comes with 2 open holes and 3 additional holes that are plugged w/removable rubber grommets.
